Presentation of Letters of Appointment for The 2026 AKEPT AI Ambassadors
The Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir, delivered a speech at the 2026 Central Zone Madani Young Leaders Karisma Program held at Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Shah Alam.
Among the highlights that drew significant attention was a forum titled "TVET Leadership Discussion: Exploring the Role of AI in TVET," which featured a panel of higher education leaders.
Key Highlights of the Event: + Google Malaysia’s Involvement: A representative from Google Malaysia participated in the forum to discuss how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can strengthen the nation's TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) ecosystem. + Addressing Future Challenges: The session emphasized the challenges that young higher education leaders will face in adapting to increasingly rapid technological advancements. + Empowering Young Educators: Organized by the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), the program gathered approximately 300 young lecturers and administrators from polytechnics and community colleges to enhance leadership readiness for the digital transformation era. + Launch of AKEPT AI Ambassadors: To kickstart the initiative, the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) presented appointment letters to the AKEPT AI Ambassadors, symbolizing a commitment to expanding a culture of innovation and AI literacy across the country's higher education sector.
